Collaboration has long been a valuable part of the classroom community and learning. In the 21st century, collaboration has evolved as Web 2.0 has created a culture of participation. We now live, work, and play in an age in which collaboration in a digital community has become increasingly prevelant as technology connects people from around the world. Students today can no longer be passive consumers of information, but must learn to collaborate, create, and compete in a global community.
